США начали переброску танков и бронетехники в Европу

В Германию доставлено американское вооружение, предназначенное для постоянного базирования в ряде стран восточной Европы. Разгрузка техники ведется в порту Бремерхавен, куда прибыло транспортное судно «Resolve», перевозящее первую партию американских танков, самоходных артиллерийских орудий, грузовых автомобилей и других транспортных средств. Об этом сообщило агентство DPA.

Как ожидается, два других судна с военной техникой США, предназначенной для миссии Atlantic Resolve, в рамках которой НАТО намерено усилить свой «восточный фланг», прибудут в Бремерхафен в ближайшие два дня.

Как пишет агентство ЕРА, всего из США будет переброшено более 2500 единиц техники. Это самый большой трансфер вооружений из США в Европу с момента развала Советского Союза.

Около 3500 военнослужащих из 4-й пехотной дивизии дислоцированной в Форт Карсон, штат Колорадо, присоединится к технике, которая включает в себя 87 танков и 144 боевых машин Брэдли, в течение следующих двух недель.

Также планируется перебросить в Европу авиационную бригаду — около 10 вертолетов Chinook, 50 вертолетов Black Hawk и 1800 человек из Форт-Драм, Нью-Йорк и батальон с 24-я вертолетами Apache и 400 военнослужащими из Форт Блисс, штат Техас. Штаб-квартира будет находится в Германии с размещением авиатехники в Латвии, Румынии и Польше.

В конце октября 2016 года генсек НАТО Йенс Столтенберг заявил, что батальоны альянса в Восточной Европе развернут до лета 2017-го, а сам процесс стартует в феврале.
